Longhouse | LH102
Despite its modest footprint, this two-bedroom house has been designed to maximise living space and promote a sense of openness and space. The kitchen/dining area opens to a dramatic double-height vaulted living room, where a wood-burning stove is the focal point. The overall effect is stunning.
Large areas of glazing open on to a deck, bringing the outside in. Ideally, the living room windows will frame the views while making best use of passive solar gain throughout the year.
A feature stair from the dining room leads to the attic space and the second bedroom, which enjoys twin roof-lights, plus built-in drawers and cupboards. There are generous hanging cupboards on the landing. The bathroom is carefully designed with provision for a bath and a large shower.
